Freedom is not enough
Embrace the real driving force in your life
Once, I was asked to share my core values in life.
What really drives me in life?
What wakes me up in the morning and makes me jump out of bed? 🛌
I initially came up with freedom:
✅ Freedom to choose how I spend my time
✅ Freedom to choose where I live (being location independent)
✅ Freedom to choose my hobbies
✅ Freedom to choose how I make money
✅ Freedom to choose the pain I enjoy the most (thank you, Mark Manson)
As Morgan Hussle wrote:
“The freedom to do what you want, when you want, with who you want, for as long as you want, is priceless.”
I can really relate to this quote (and to many others in his fascinating book). 📕
But freedom was just NOT enough.
Imagine a world where you achieved the ultimate freedom.
No work.
No commute.
No responsibilities.
No pain \ struggle \ conflict.
Just you, your girl’s dream, your passive income, and your fruit cocktail on a Thai \ Brazilian beach. 🌊☀️
That’s what they’re trying to sell you: A life of emptiness.
Honestly, I wouldn’t take this lifestyle even if you paid me.
Because it lacks a deeper connection and sense of meaning.
When the Israel-Gaza war started, many friends texted me:
“I’m so happy you’re safe. You’re so lucky not to have to join the army right now".
That couldn't be more further from the truth. ⚠️⛔️
I envy the brave Israelis who joined the army and put their lives and health at risk.
They do something bigger than themselves.
They create a reality that’ll last for generations.
They make history in real-time.
And they save so many lives of so many other people who don’t even know that without them - they’ll be dead.

Life isn’t about being happy. It’s a vague, unrelatable, and irrelevant term.🌫️
Most people don’t even know what happiness means for them.
Life is about long-term satisfaction.
Life is about achieving a difficult long-term goal.
Life is about solving a bigger problem for you and others. 👨🏻💻⛑️
That doesn’t come from freedom.
That comes from taking responsibility. Lots of it.
So I think I found my other core value: Responsibility.
It’s just the other side of the coin. 🪙
They’re inherently interconnected: With great freedom comes great responsibility.
